How To Improve Your Posture While Sitting At The Computer
Over the past few years, many of our friends and family were working remote. Putting us in front of a bright screen with an uncomfortable chair causing neck or back pain! After some time, your posture starts to change and results in muscle imbalances contributing to your pain. However, there are some easy tricks every day to help ensure you never develop muscle imbalances from your posture!
Get Up And Move Every Hour
Your body wasn’t made to sit around all day. Your body craves movement and will help prevent your muscles from tightening up. Now a days, there are desk built on treadmills that ensure you’re constantly moving! However, this may not be an option so getting up and taking a few laps around the the office, house, or neighborhood will help reduce your back or neck to start acting up. Also, set an alarm to remind you to get up and move. Many people are very focused on their work and may forget to move around. Make sure you prioritize your health too!
Adjust Your Chair And Desk Height
Your chair and desk height can definitely be causing neck or back pain! If your chair and desk is too short, you’ll be hunched over for a long period of time. Causing muscles in your chest to tighten up while weakening your back muscles. This imbalance can cause a pull on your spine resulting in pain! The same can happen if your chair and desk are too high! If you’re constantly looking up this may compress many muscles and joints in your neck, shoulders and midback. Over time, this can only reduce your mobility which is something you want to preserve.
